I work with and for a variety of national, state, and local organizations, including the National Park Service, Preservation League of New York State, Mary Baker Eddy Library, U.S. Department of Education, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, New York State Council on the Arts, New York State Office of Historic Preservation, New York Council for the Humanities, Documentary Heritage Program of the New York State Archives, National Public Radio, Weeksville Heritage Society, Heritage New York, Harriet Tubman Home, county historians throughout New York State, and  wide variety of historical, genealogical, teachers, women’s, and preservation groups.

            

I specialize in women's rights and the Underground Railroad, with research, writing, public speaking, cultural resource surveys, and National Register nominations.



I also teach two courses online through the State University of New York and the SUNY Learning Network.
